The best places to fish for shrimp are often well-kept secrets, passed down from generation to generation. To catch them, it's best to go out at night with a landing net and a headlamp. This traditional method involves placing a circular net, one meter in diameter, baited with a fish head, in a puddle at low tide. Shrimp are attracted by the bait, but you have to remain vigilant because other nocturnal predators, such as large velvet crabs or conger eels, can also be attracted.
